"Lynda Smith teaches Nonviolent Communication in classes and workshops throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and also works with individuals, couples and groups in private sessions. She has worked with inmates at San Quentin both in one-on-one sessions and in group classes, as well as with schools, artistic groups and for- and non-profit organizations. Currently, she is sharing NVC with a group of activists who are converting an abandoned freeway ramp into a 2.2-acre non-profit community-run farm and urban-agriculture education and research project in the heart of San Francisco. In previous incarnations, she was a newspaper editor (Miami Herald, USA Today, San Francisco Chronicle) and Waldorf class teacher."[1]
