Lutfur Rahman Khan founded the State Petroleum Corporation, of which he was Chairman from November 1991 to May 1994 and December 1995 to October 1998. He resigned as Chief Executive Officer of the Arakis Energy Corporation on November 7, 1997, but remained as Chairman. [1][2]
