Biographical Details
"Prior to his work with Soliya, Mr. Welch worked as a producer for ABC News working with Peter Jennings, taught media at Birzeit University in the West Bank, and conducted research at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. He also worked as Director of Communications for America Abroad Media and served as Associate Producer on “The Shape of the Future” – a documentary series produced in Arabic, Hebrew, English, and French about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Along with Liza Chambers, he was named one of the “world’s best emerging social entrepreneurs” in 2004 by the Echoing Green Foundation.[1]
