Louis J. Lachal is the Managing Director of Amcor Australasia. (He joined Amcor in 1980.)
- "Previous positions in Amcor include Executive General Manager, Operations; General Manager Commercial, Amcor Packaging; Deputy Managing Director Amcor Packaging (Europe) Ltd; Commercial Director Amcor Packaging (Europe) Ltd; Mill Manager Broadford. Appointed Group General Manager Commercial Operations in April 1998. Appointed Chief Financial Officer July 2000 and appointed Executive General Manager Operations June 2001." [1]
In July 2005 the Sydney Morning Herald reported that "Global packaging firm Amcor has appointed veteran executive Louis Lachal as managing director of Amcor Australasia. He replaces Peter Sutton who, with former Amcor chief executive Russell Jones, resigned in December amid controversy about possible price-fixing at the company's Australasian corrugated box business."
