Live Earth is a for-profit company founded by producer Kevin Wall, in partnership with former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. Live Earth partners with corporations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and entertainment and political influencers and creates events and media to get global leaders, local communities and individuals to actively participate in solving the planet's environmental problems.[1]

Live Earth held a 24-hour long series of concerts, called Live Earth, in New York, London, Johannesburg, Rio, Shanghai, Tokyo, Sydney, Hamburg and Istanbul held July 7, 2007.

At the 2009 "Green Inaugural Ball", 1,200 guests were at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture for the inauguration of Barack Obama and Joseph Biden and America's green economy.[1]
