Lisa Middlebrook
Lisa Middlebrook "joined the Lowy Institute in July 2005 after spending five years with the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC) and Progressive Policy Institute (PPI) in Washington DC. While at the DLC and PPI, she was responsible for an extensive range of corporate and foundation fund-raising and community relations, and was also Director of the DLC’s Project on Trade. In this capacity she was instrumental in helping establish political relationships for Australia with regard to the US/Australia Free Trade Agreement.
"Prior to the DLC, Lisa spent over two years at the Australian Embassy in Washington working on US Congressional activities regarding APEC, and a myriad of other trade issues.
"Lisa is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (Political Science and International Relations) and also holds a qualification for teaching English as a second language. She has been heavily involved in soccer related charity work in the U.S. and is a board member of the Eddie Pope Foundation." [1]
