Founded in 2010: "Communities in Partnership aims to improve the lives of the people of Leicestershire, Rutland and Leicester City by encouraging individuals and organisations to work in partnership with each other, and with government, to build stronger, safer and better communities. " [1]
"CiP feels that its knowledge and experience of community involvement puts us in a position to support the sector to develop the concept of the Big Society locally. It will ensure that it is actively involved with the key stakeholders to represent and inform the development of this locally and through our existing involvement networks; LINk and OPEN." [2]
