He was awarded the MBE in 2003 for Services to the Community and Education...

Chair of the Finance Committees of both schools. A Member of the Leicester City Council Schools Forum, an Executive Member and Treasurer of the City of Leicester Governors Association. A Chair of the Rating Valuation Tribunal of England and also Treasurer and Trustee of the Leicestershire Community in Partnership.
