Lara Goldmark
Lara Goldmark is a "Senior Development Specialist with Development Alternatives Inc. (DAI), Lara Goldmark is one of the company's lead researchers on microfinance and business development services (BDS). She is author and editor of a number of publications, including a series of best practice publications on business development services, and a set of technical manuals for microfinance managers produced for the Brazilian National Development Bank (BNDES). Formerly based in Brazil, she managed a national microfinance grants program for the BNDES, in addition to recruiting and training a team of international Rio-based consultants specialized in BDS and microfinance. Prior to her Brazil posting, Ms. Goldmark worked for the Microenterprise Unit of the Inter-American Development Bank, designing and managing private sector development projects in a number of countries, especially El Salvador, Haiti and Brazil, Ms. Goldmark co-teaches the course Microenterprise Business Development Services with Dr. Downing.“ [1]
