Kris Vehrs, J.D., Executive Director, Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
"Kris is responsible for internal and staff operations functions at AZA. She provides counsel to the Association including review of contracts, bylaws changes, accreditation and ethical issues. Kris works with the Board of Directors to determine the focus of the Association.
"Kris began working for AZA in 1979 when AZA was represented by the firm of Steele and Utz. Kris served as the Director of Government Affairs from 1981 until March 2000. Kris has a law degree from George Mason University." [1]
