King Fahd bin Adbul Aziz, King of Saudi Arabia, died August 1, 2005.

The Associated Press reported that "Saudi Arabia's ruler, King Fahd, has died in a Riyadh hospital and his brother," Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, was appointed the "country's new monarch, the Saudi royal court announced." [1]
