Kevin Edward Moley is one of several prominent conservatives funding Freedom's Watch, a new White House front group[1] which began "a multimillion-dollar advertising campaign to urge members of Congress who may be wavering in their support for the war in Iraq not to 'cut and run'."[2]

Moley as served as a Director at Cephalon, Inc., a Frazer, Pennsylvania, pharmaceutical manufacturer. He also serves as a Director at Merge Technologies Inc., a "developer of medical imaging and information management software and services."[3]

Moley, nominated on September 14, 2001, by President George W. Bush to serve as the U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Geneva and confirmed by the United States Senate on September 26, 2001,[4] served in this position until April 2006.[3]


According to his United Nations Mission biography,[4], "[b]eginning in 1998, Ambassador Moley was a private investor and served on the Board of Directors of five publicly held companies and three privately held companies. He previously served as a consultant to Kinetra LLC, the successor company to Integrated Medical Systems Inc., which Ambassador Moley served as President and CEO. Ambassador Moley was also Senior Vice President of PCS Health Systems, Inc.

"Ambassador Moley served as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) from 1992 to 1993. He began his government career at HHS in 1984. He was Assistant Secretary for Management and Budget of HHS from 1989 to 1 992.

"During this period, Ambassador Moley also served as Vice Chairman of the President's Council on Management Improvement (PCM) from 1989 to 1992 and on the Steering Committee of the Government-wide Chief Financial Officers Council from 1989 to 1992. In 1989 Ambassador Moley was the Director of the President's Education Summit with U.S. Governors in Charlottesville, Virginia. In 1990, Ambassador Moley was Executive Director of the U.S./Pacific Island Nations Summit in Honolulu, Hawaii.

"Ambassador Moley was the Senior Advisor to Secretary Dick Cheney for the Bush-Cheney 2000 Presidential Campaign.

"Ambassador Moley served in the United States Marine Corps from 1965 to 1971, receiving the Purple Heart and Navy Commendation Medal with Combat V."
