{{#badges: CoalSwarm}} Kentucky Mountain Power is a proposed coal plant in Calvert City (Knott County), Kentucky.[1] Kentucky Mountain Power, a subsidiary of EnviroPower, has been granted a Title V/PSD permit from the state of Kentucky to build a 500 MW circulating fluidized bed coal plant. The proposed plant has been on hold since 2003. As of December 2007, the project appeared to be defunct. On November 24, 2008, the Kentucky State Office of Administrative Hearings rejected the proposed plant, siding with the Sierra Club and state regulators.
