Kashif Zafar

Kashif Zafar "is a Managing Director and Head of European Rates Sales at Barclays Capital. Mr. Zafar joined the firm in 2005 as Head of US Rates Sales in New York and moved to London in early 2009 to assume his new responsibilities. Prior to joining Barclays Capital, Mr. Zafar worked at JP Morgan and Credit Suisse in senior positions in the US. Mr. Zafar is a Co-Founder of the South Asian American Forum (SAAF), a Political Action Committee (PAC) consisting of community and business leaders, which promotes a progressive policy platform with rising and established US policymakers. In 2008, Mr. Zafar joined the National Finance Committee (NFC) of the Obama presidential campaign. He was also appointed a Co-Chair of the South Asian American Leadership Council (SAALC) at the Democratic National Committee (DNC). In 2004, Mr. Zafar served as the Co-Chair of South Asians for Kerry. Mr Zafar is a Trustee of the Board of International House in New York. He serves on the Advisory Council of Developments in Literacy (DlL) and is an Associate Partner of Acumen Fund, a philanthropic organization which aims to solve problems of global poverty through market based solutions. Mr. Zafar was born and raised in Pakistan. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Middlebury College and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania." [1]
