Karl Aribeb

Mr Karl Aribeb is the International Coordinator of the Peace Parks Foundation's "|Ai-|Ais/Richtersveld Transfrontier Conservation Area between Namibia and South Africa. He is based in Windhoek, Namibia.

"Mr Aribeb, who has had extensive exposure to matters relating to sustainable development in Namibia, started his career with the Namibia Development Trust (NDT). He then joined the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) as Programme Officer of the Community-based Natural Resources Management Programme.

"After a stint with the Desert Research Foundation of Namibia, where he was Project Manager of the SADC Desertification Project, he worked as National Coordinator of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Small Grants Programme.

"Before becoming the International Coordinator in 2008, Mr Aribeb was Director of the National Heritage Council of Namibia, Ministry of Youth, Sports and National Service.

"He holds a BA Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Namibia, as well as an MSc Degree (Environment and Development) from the University of Wales in the UK." [1]
