Biographical Information
"Following an early career in cancer research, Judith now has over 20 years experience in the voluntary sector, starting as a fundraiser for Scope, then six years as Head of Fundraising for WaterAid. She was a Trustee of the Institute of Fundraising and Chaired the National Fundraising Awards. She became Chief Executive of CancerLink in 1997 and following a merger with Macmillan Cancer Relief, led their new Social Care and User Involvement programmes. She was invited to join the Government’s Cancer Taskforce in 2000, to oversee the modernisation of cancer services in the NHS. She joined Comic Relief as Grants Director 3 years ago to develop wider links with the sector, other grant makers, philanthropists, and policy makers and lead Comic Relief’s work to invest in organisations that share the vision of A Just World Free From Poverty. She’s met amazing community organisations from Derry to Delhi and lives in north London with Greg and daughters Abigail and Millie. " [1]
