Joseph Mwaura
Joseph Mwaura "is a Lecture in Law at Queen’s University Law School, Belfast Northern Ireland (UK). He received a Ph.D. at the University of Wolverhampton on the regulation of company directors in 2002. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 1998; he taught law at the Kenya School of Professional Studies and later completed an LLM degree in International Law at Staffordshire University in 1999. He has been a Visiting Scholar at the University of Washington and the University of Ghana. He has secured grants from the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland and the Legon Centre for International Affairs, University of Ghana. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Northern Ireland Council for Ethnic Minorities (NICEM) and the Afro Community Support Organisation for Northern Ireland (ACSONI). He is also a member of the Higher Education Academy, the Society of Legal Scholars, and the Law Society of Kenya. He has recently served as an expert researcher for the International Commission of Jurists’ Expert Legal Panel on Corporate Complicity in International Crimes where he was focussing on the role of corporate structures in determining liability within corporate groups."
