Biographical Information

"Jonathan Zaff is Vice President of Research at America's Promise Alliance, the largest multi-sector collaboration to improve the lives of all young people in America. In this role, he directs all research and evaluation activities at America’s Promise. Prior to joining America’s Promise, Dr. Zaff founded 18to35, a non-profit, non-partisan policy organization dedicated to Getting Out The Voice of young adults in America (18to35 later merged with Mobilize.org).

"Zaff was previously a research associate at Child Trends, where he focused on positive youth development initiatives, with a particular emphasis on the factors that encourage youth civic engagement. His research primarily involves studying social contexts that promote well-being throughout adolescence and into adulthood as well as identifying and tracking indicators of child well-being."
