"In December 2015, Jonathan Popper, an experienced oil industry profession and economist, joined Ukrnafta as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy and a member of the Executive Board. He will be responsible for strategy, planning and business development activities.

"Most of his 28-year long career in the oil and gas industry was spent in the international oil and gas major BP, but he also spent some years in Petrofac, a leading service company to the industry. Most of his career in the industry was in the field of Business Development, and since 1998 he has been heavily involved in projects across the CIS including leadership roles in major projects in Siberia and Kazakhstan. He also led the Upstream Merger Integration Team establishing TNK-BP in Moscow, and has significant experience in Algeria and Colombia. From 2004 to 2010 he was Performance Unit Leader and President of BP Central Asia.

"From 2011 to 2015 he was Vice President for Business Development and Negotiations in Petrofac Integrated Energy Services, focusing on projects in CIS. Jonathan is a UK citizen and an alumnus of Cambridge University and the University of Wales, and holds a Master’s Degree in Economics." [1]
