Jon W. van Horne and Shana Tesler founded the Washington, DC, law firm of VHT Law PLLC in 2005. In his profile cited below, van Horne fails to mention that he, as well as Tesler, were previously together with the Greenberg Traurig law firm -- from which he was asked to resign -- and members of "Team Abramoff". Side Payments
"Four former Greenberg Traurig lobbyists besides disgraced former colleague Jack Abramoff took improper side payments in violation of company policy and have been referred to the Justice Department, a top law firm executive has disclosed," Julie Kay reported November 17, 2005, for Law.com. "The four other lobbyists now being questioned" are Kevin A. Ring, John Van Horne, Michael D. Smith and Stephanie Leger Short.

On October 10, 2004, "Abbe Buck, Principal Consultant and CEO of HighViz Consulting Group, (HVCG), small, woman owned," announced the establishment of an Advisory Council to assist her "and her team in advising tribal entities that HighViz Consults to in training and securing outsourced employment in non-traditional locations such as Native American Indian reservations, which are recognized as HUBZones by the Small Business Administration (www.sba.gov/hubzone) and the US Department of Commerce." Jon van Horne, identified as of Critical Decision Analysis, was listed as a member of this new Advisory Council.
