Biographical Information

"Jon has over 30 years of experience in mid-cap oil exploration and production companies. After graduating from the University of London with a degree in geology and then gaining experience in junior technical roles within the industry, he joined LASMO in 1989 where he held various positions in geology, planning and new business, based in the UK and Asia. In 1999, Jon joined Venture Production PLC as Chief Operating Officer and played a key role in its growth from a small private equity-backed company, through flotation in 2002 to become one of the leading oil and gas companies active in the North Sea, and ultimately to its successful sale to Centrica in 2009."
