"The Right Honourable Lord Patten is a long-standing Advisor to Charterhouse. Since 2001 he has worked alongside the Charterhouse team and has been heavily involved in deal sourcing and portfolio company matters.

"A member of Her Majesty’s Privy Council (PC) since 1992, he served for 13 years in the UK Government as a Minister and Secretary of State in the departments of Northern Ireland; Health and Social Security; Environment, as Minister for Housing, Urban Affairs & Construction; Home Office (Law & Order, Security and Justice); and Education, standing down at the 1997 election. He was made a Life Peer in the Resignation Honours list of 1997, taking his seat in the House of Lords that year. Prior to this he was a member of the British Parliament for the City of Oxford and then Oxford West & Abingdon.

"He was educated at the University of Cambridge and became a Fellow of Hertford College and a Lecturer at the University of Oxford." [1]

Married to Lady Louise Patten.
