Biographical Information

John Moreland "has worked in the international oil and gas business throughout his career, has travelled widely, and has lived overseas for many years in South America and the Far East. He is a geologist with 35 years experience, and is currently President and co-founder of Bolivar Energy Inc., a private Alberta corporation focussed on exploration and production of oil and gas in Colombia. John has seen at first hand the impact that simple, inexpensive, self-motivated initiatives have achieved, and supports devolvement at the grassroots level. Effective communication between all stakeholder groups has been the key to success in most, if not all of the projects John has been involved with, and The Fig Tree Foundation, particularly the Roundtable, works to optimise that process."
