Biographical Information
"John Healy was Chief Executive Officer and President of The Atlantic Philanthropies from 2001 to 2007... For 11 years prior John Healy was the Managing Director of Tara Consultants Ltd (now The Atlantic Philanthropies - Ireland) and Senior Vice President, International Programmes at The Atlantic Philanthropies. From 1986-1990, he was founding Chief Executive of The Irish American Partnership, an organisation which seeks support from Americans of Irish ancestry for educational, reconciliation, and economic development projects in Ireland. An Assistant Chief Executive of the Irish Trade Board from 1982-1996, John was involved in the Irish government's international trade promotion programme. He travelled widely in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and, as Director for Scandinavia, established Irish trade promotion offices in Copenhagen and Stockholm. In 1983/84 he chaired the Irish government's Consultative Committee on the Fishing Industry. John Healy is a founder and board member of the Irish Landmark Trust. He serves on the board of Trinity Foundation, is a member of the Government's Forum on Philanthropy, and sits on the advisory board of the One Foundation. He also consults in the fields of philanthropy and foundation management. "[1]
