John E. Bryson is the "founding co-chair of the Pacific Council, John Bryson is Chairman, President and CEO of Edison International. Earlier, he practiced law, served as President of the California Public Utilities Commission, and as Chairman of the California State Water Resources Control Board, and was a Co-founder and Attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council. A former member and Director of the Council on Foreign Relations, he has served as a Trustee of Stanford University and is a Director of the W.M. Keck Foundation, the Walt Disney Company, and the Boeing Company." [1]

Compensation

In May 2007, Forbes listed Bryson as receiving $12.36 million in total compensation for the latest fiscal year, with a five-year total compensation of $52.11 million. He ranked 4th on the list of CEOs in the Utilities industry, and 148th among all CEOs in the United States.[3]
