Fr. John Dear, S.J. wiki is a Jesuit priest, peace activist, lecturer, and writer of approximately twenty books on nonviolence, including Living Peace. His most recent book is A Persistent Peace: One Man's Struggle for a Nonviolent World (2008) - Foreword by Martin Sheen.
" In 2008, John was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
