John C. Duncan

"Mr. Duncan graduated from Yale University in 1942, and began his business career in 1946 at W.R. Grace & Co. After eight years in Peru, he returned to New York as Executive Vice President in charge of Grace's Latin American Operations from 1960 to 1970. In 1971, he became President of St. Joe Minerals Corporation and retired as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 1982, after the completion of St. Joe's merger with Fluor Corporation. From 1985 to 1991, he was Chairman of Cyprus Mineral Company. Since 1991, he has been the Chairman of South American Gold and Copper Company Limited, a mining company with properties in Chile and Peru.

"Over his business career, Mr. Duncan has served as a Director of numerous United States and foreign-based companies including W.R. Grace & Co., St. Joe Minerals Corporation, the Fluor Corporation, the Phelps Dodge Corporation, the International Basic Economy Corp., the Inter-American Foundation in Washington, D.C., the Irving Trust Company of New York, the Bank of New York, and Westvaco Corporation." "Stephen W. Houghton is President and Chief Executive Officer of South American Gold and Copper Company Limited. He founded the company along with John C. Duncan in 1990 in association with David Thomson and Mario Hernandez." [2]
