Biographical Information
"Joe was Head of UK Retail Bank and Deputy Chief Executive of HSBC Bank PLC from 1 December 2010 – 31 October 2012. He has been a member of the Practitioner Panel – representing Retail Banking – since 1 August 2011, and Chairman since 1 June 2012.
"Joe joined HSBC in September 2004 as General Manager of Customer Propositions. In 2006 he was promoted to Group General Manager and Head of UK Personal Financial Services including HSBC, first direct, M&S Money, John Lewis Partnership Card and Jersey Offshore. Between February 2008 and February 2010 Joe also served as a non-executive Director of the Financial Ombudsman Service.
"In 1991, Joe started his career with Procter and Gamble, Newcastle. Over the next nine years, he progressed within P&G holding a variety of roles in both Eastern and Western Europe. During this time, Joe lived and worked in Romania for five years, before being promoted into a regional role and moving to P&G’s European Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. After returning to the UK, Joe worked for Dixons Group PLC in a variety of marketing and operational roles, before joining HSBC Bank PLC."[1]
