Jimmy T. Patronis, Jr. is a Republican member of the State Assembly in Florida. He represents the sixth District and serves on the following committees: Committee on Health Innovation (Vice Chair), Committee on Infrastructure, Committee on Military & Veterans' Affairs, Healthcare Council, Select Committee on Autism & Developmental Disorders and Select Committee on Condominium & Homeowners Association Governance.[1]

Patronis is the Florida State Chairman of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), as of 2011.[2]

About ALEC
ALEC is a corporate bill mill. It is not just a lobby or a front group; it is much more powerful than that. Through ALEC, corporations hand state legislators their wishlists to benefit their bottom line. Corporations fund almost all of ALEC's operations.
