Biographical Information

"Jessica joined Faith in Public Life as Vice President for Program Development in March of 2011. In this role, she oversees all of the program staff, encompassing communications, outreach, and campaigns. Before joining FPL, she spent three years serving as communications director and senior aide for former Rep. Tom Perriello on his election campaigns and on Capitol Hill. In just a short time, Perriello went from long-shot congressional hopeful to one of the highest-profile and widely watched political stories in 2010.

"While there are days when she misses driving around Southern Virginia in her 1992 Buick Park Avenue (RIP), Jessica loves helping increase the faith community’s impact on public policy debates. A native of the Washington, DC region, Jessica was raised with a strong sense of social justice as informed by her Catholic faith. She serves as Board Chair for the Catholics United Education Fund, and was one of the founding board members of that group during the 2004 election.

"Before her career turned to politics, Jessica was communications director for City Year New York and communications and marketing manager for CancerCare. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Gender and Sexuality Studies from New York University."[1]
