Jeff Jordan
Jeff Jordan provides strategic leadership and vision for Population Reference Bureau "with the goal of ensuring positive programmatic and financial performance. Jordan works to strengthen resource mobilization capacities, increase organizational visibility, and broaden the embrace of innovation and creativity in PRB’s work and culture. Prior to PRB, Jordan was the senior vice president for international programs at the Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB), where he provided oversight and strategic input for all international programs in HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health, neglected and tropical diseases, and gender. He managed CMMB’s field staff and the medical volunteer program and oversaw the monitoring and evaluation unit and the grants acquisition department. Jordan’s demographic experience is rooted in his work at the Population Resource Center (1990-1994), followed by the Futures Group/Constella Futures (1994-2007). At Futures, he first served as an analyst and program manager in population, family planning/reproductive health, and HIV/AIDS, before becoming vice president of program development and chief operating officer.
"In the United States and internationally, Jordan has applied his technical experience in policy communication and constituency building, institution building, and applied policy research and analysis. His practice areas have included policy analysis and presentation training, GIS applications of health survey data, demographic links to related sectors including the environment and food security, and gender. He served for nearly a decade as the co-chair of the USAID Interagency Gender Working Group.
"Jordan has worked extensively throughout Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia, and Eastern Europe. He has written and presented on topics ranging from demographic trends to contraceptive security to gender and reproductive health policy. He holds a master’s degree in public affairs from Princeton University, Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs; and a bachelor’s degree from Davidson College. He is a member of the Board of Directors of IMA WorldHealth, serves as co-chair of the Burkina Faso Reference Group, and serves on the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Advisory Group to the Executive Director, Dr. Natalia Kanem."[1]
