The Jebsen Center for Counter-Terrorism Studies was established at The Fletcher School in September, 2005. [1]
In 2005, Jan Henrik Jebsen "decided that threat of terrorism required a central research institution for anticipating future threats, to generate preventive and preemptive means of countering them. He underwrote the creation of the Jebsen Center for Counter-Terrorism Studies at the Fletcher School of Diplomacy and Law at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. The Center formally opened in September of 2005 and is led by Brig. Gen Russell Howard (Ret.), formerly the head of the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point." [2]
