Jean Duff currently serves as Senior Advisor for Strategy and Resources for Center for Interfaith Action on Global Poverty, "focusing on the Global Initiative for Faith Health and Development (GIFHD) as well as on key strategic and fundraising opportunities.

"With Ed Scott, Jean co-founded CIFA in 2008 and served as its first Executive Director until October 2010. During this period, CIFA was established as an international center for interfaith action. The Interfaith Action Association model for multireligious collaboration with public sector on malaria, pioneered by Jean in Mozambique , was adapted for Nigeria, and made ready for replication elsewhere. CIFA has been recognized by WHO, the White House Office of Faith based and Neighborhood Partnerships, and by the UN Interagency Task Force on Faith based organizations as a neutral convener of the faith sector for advocacy and action in the health and development arena, and convenes and supports the Global Initiative for Faith Health and Development.

"From 2005- 2008, as Deputy Director of the Center for Global Justice and Reconciliation, she led Washington National Cathedral’s global poverty program focusing on Malaria and Gender Justice. While in this capacity, Ms Duff worked with leaders of 10 faith communities in Mozambique to design and fund the first national multi-faith campaign against malaria, known by its Portuguese acronym “PIRCOM”. She was also the lead manager for Breakthrough Summit at which the Women, Faith and Development Alliance, (co-convened by InterAction, Women Thrive International, Religions for Peace, and WNC/CIFA) was launched and over $1 billion in new commitments for women and girls was announced.

"Ms. Duff has broad experience in the start-up of non-profit social enterprises. She has a special interest and track record in creating public-private partnerships that promote healthy communities. For the past 17 years she has worked exclusively with organizations serving the poor and advocating for social justice, including the Community Council for the Homeless, the Campaign for New Community, Building Better Communities Network, and Strive DC. Prior to this work, Ms Duff was a founding partner, and for 10 years Executive Vice President, of General Health Inc, a for -profit start up in preventive medicine. An alumna of University College, Dublin, and Columbia University, School of Public Health, she holds graduate degrees in clinical psychology and in epidemiology, as well as certificates of continuing education from Harvard and Wharton Business schools."
