Janet King Russo is the chair and founder of King Media Group (KMG), a mirror firm to the Republican Party-affiliated public relations firm Russo Marsh & Rogers (RM+R).

"Utilizing a degree in fashion merchandising, she began three different fashion retail businesses: Display Duo, a visual merchandising consultant; Sox Appeal, a socks retail store; and Intimate Escape, a lingerie retail store. Sox Appeal was recognized as Franchise of the Year and the her store had the highest average sales in the nation of all the Sox Appeal franchises.
