Biographical Information

"Currently Deputy Director of the Prison Reform Trust, Janet stepped down as a Sova Trustee to take over as interim CEO of Sova between December 2011 and April 2012 when she left to take up her position with the Prison Reform Trust. Other positions Janet has held include CEO of Age UK Surrey, Acting CEO of Sova and prior to that, Sova’s National Director of Operation. She has also worked for the Prince’s Trust, the Probation Service, the Police and other local authority bodies. Janet is an experienced leader of activities from strategic to operational and developmental within the statutory and voluntary sectors with a particular emphasis on penal reform, social welfare and inclusion, employment, training and education, community safety and adult social care. ...Janet has an MSc in Criminal Justice, a first degree in Social History, a Certificate in Mediation and her Diploma in Management Studies. Janet is a member of the Surrey Police Authority Advisory Group."[1]
