Biography
"Mr. James McNaught-Davis is a Managing Partner at WHEB Partners. Mr. McNaught-Davis joined WHEB Partners in 2007 and is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of WHEB’s Private Equity business. He has a two decades of investment experience in technology growth capital. Mr. McNaught-Davis was a General Partner at Advent Venture Partners LLP from 2001 to 2006. He focused on information technology investments across Europe. Mr. McNaught-Davis was previously a Partner and Managing Director at Warburg Pincus from 1996 to 2001, where he led the firm's technology investment activity in Europe and invested in several European-based financial services software companies. Prior to becoming a private equity investor and venture capitalist, Mr. McNaught-Davis accrued many years of technology industry experience as an Executive Vice President of Misys Plc, where he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions and made several acquisitions of banking software businesses in the United States and Europe during the early 1990s. He served as Senior Manager at Misys plc. He has over a decade of experience at the Board level in software and information technology services business working closely with technology entrepreneurs and their management teams on mergers, acquisitions, investments, and other aspects of corporate finance. Mr. McNaught-Davis spent much of the 1980's as an Investment Banker in London with Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. and Schroders PLC. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board at Flagship Partners, Inc., and Flagship Venture Partners LLC. He serves as a Director at PassivSystems Ltd., WEMS Ltd., Green Energy Group AS, Advanced Manufacturing Control Systems Ltd., and Network365. Mr. McNaught-Davis served as a Director at Am-Beo Ltd., Neverfail Group Limited, FINEOS Corporation Limited and Valista Ltd. He served as a Director of CoreOne Technologies and Radiant Networks PLC. Mr. McNaught-Davis is a sponsoring investor in Open Business Exchange. He graduated with an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1990. Mr. McNaught-Davis also holds an M.A., with honors, and a B.A. from the Cambridge University."[1]
