Biographical Information

"JAMES D. JAMESON is the Chairman of the Board and/or major shareholder of companies in aerospace, agriculture, publishing, book distribution and real estate in the U.S. and abroad. He is Chairman of the Advisory Board for the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies at the University of California at San Diego, and a member of the Board of Directors of The Chief Executives' Organization and the Reason Foundation. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Scripps Institute of Oceanography and spent eight years on the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Americas where he served as Chairman until he resigned to enter the U.S. Government as an Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Trade Development in 1992. In that capacity, he was an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and on the Board of Directors of the Export Import Bank as well as a member of the President’s Export Council and Board of the Committee for Foreign Investment in the U.S. He was also a member of the U.S. Polish Action Commission chaired by Zbignew Brezezinski which is involved in the economic development of Poland. Mr. Jameson served as the International President of the Young Presidents’ Organization in 1989/90 and was selected for a Presidential Business Mission by President Bush in 1990 to attend the Helsinki Summit and to go to Moscow to discuss economic development with President Gorbachev and Foreign Minister Shevardnaze. Mr. Jameson graduated from Stanford University with both a B.A. and M.B.A. "[1]
