Dr James Bradfield Moody "is General Manager for CSIRO's work in International Development.

"Consistent with the Australian Government’s aid and trade objectives, CSIRO is involved in over 740 research activities per year, working with leading scientific organisations across the globe.

"This role combines Dr Moody’s love for science with his experience in innovation and passion for working in the international sphere.

"Dr Moody was formerly the Managing Director of Natural Resource Intelligence (NRI), an Environmental Spatial Information company member of the publicly listed Natural Intelligence group.

"NRI provided environmental, social and economic intelligence to assist organisations in monitoring and evaluating land and natural resources to meet their business and environmental objectives.

"He remains on a number of company and industry association boards, including the Australian Spatial Information Business Association, and is committed to the spatial information industry in Australia.

"Prior to NRI, Dr Moody was Chief Systems Engineer for FedSat, the first Australian Satellite to be launched in thirty years.

"Funded by the Cooperative Research Centre for Satellite Systems, this satellite is hoped to be a catalyst for Australia's re-entry into the space arena and to pave the way for future endeavours.

"Dr Moody joined CSIRO in December 2004 as Director, Divisional Business Strategy for CSIRO Land and Water, responsible for developing new business opportunities and improving business practices." [1]
