Jake Zambrano was a principal at Phase Line Strategies, a Colorado public affairs and political consulting firm. In 2009, he founded New West Public Affairs with his friend and colleague from Phase Line, Mike Ciletti.
Zambrano joined Phase Line Strategies as a principal in 2004. Prior to joining Phase Line he was the Director of Government Affairs for the Colorado Department of Higher Education. He was instrumental in the passage of legislation instituting an educational "voucher" system. Zambrano served as the Director of Operations for Governor Bill Owens during both his first and second terms. As the liaison for the Governor to official White House visits, Zambrano was a member of numerous White House advance teams that planned and managed events that highlighted both President Bush's and Governor Owens' policy agendas. He was campaign manager for Congressman Scott McInnis (R-CO) in 1996 and 1998. Zambrano is a graduate of the University of Colorado. He and his wife, Kerra, reside in Aurora, Colorado with their two children.[1]
