Biographical Information
"Mr. Jagdish Kantisarup Saxena serves as the Chairman of Elder Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and has been its Managing Director and Director since May 1, 1989. Mr. Saxena started his career as an Officer in the Indian Air Force. He has 40 years experience within pharmaceuticals, having had responsibility in his career for all aspects of production, sales, marketing, and new product development. He joined Sarabhai Chemicals in 1963. In 1965, he joined Tata Fison Industries as Resident Representative, to take care of liasing with various with various Government Authorities for their Pharmaceuticals, Agro Chemicals and Industrial Chemicals Division and was promoted as Sales manager (Pharma Division) at Bombay with added responsibility of Delhi Office Operations. In 1973, he joined Martin & Harris (P) Ltd., as Marketing Manager and was promoted as Director in 1975. In 1978, he joined Walter Bushnell (P) Ltd., as Managing Director with overall responsibilities of Production, Sales, Marketing & Distribution, Foreign Tie-ups, New Product (identification/Development/Launching) & Product Management. He serves as the Chairman of Elder Projects Ltd., and Elder Health Care Ltd. Mr. Saxena serves as Non-Executive Director of NeutraHealth PLC and served as its Director since July 26, 2007. He served as a Director at Stiefel India PVT Ltd. Government of Maharashtra in 1982 appointed Mr. Saxena as Special Executive Magistrate (SEM). Mr. Sexena holds B.Sc. (Hons)."[1]
