Biography

Jacob joined Nacro "as Chief Executive in May 2014. He brings a wealth of experience from both the commercial and the charity sector. Prior to this, Jacob worked at Action for Children, as Executive Director of Operations, Deputy Chief Executive and Interim Chief Executive.. Jacob is a board member of a pension fund, a trustee of War Child and a former Chair of Trustees of an inner London Steiner school. As well as being an accredited mediator, he is also a founding member of the Centre of Narrative Leadership." [1]

"Jacob is Executive Director of Operations and Deputy Chief Executive of the national children’s charity Action for Children which he joined in March 2011. He is responsible for all the Operations of Action for Children all over the UK, this includes Children’s Services, Children’s Placements and Business Development.Previously Jacob was Director England and Head of Volunteering at The Prince’s Trust. Prior to that he held a variety of roles within the commercial sector; he was a member of the Executive Management Team at Royal P&O Nedlloyd with the role of global Operations Director and prior to that as the global HR&D Director.

"He has also worked as an active volunteer with Amnesty International in Taiwan, the Netherlands and the UK. He is on the board of a large Dutch Pension Fund, and is also a founding member of the Centre for Narrative Leadership.

"Jacob studied at the University of Amsterdam gaining a Masters degree in Applied Econometrics. Later on he completed the Advanced Management Programme at Oxford University. Jacob is an accredited mediator, trained at Regent’s College."[1]
