Iqbal Noor Ali
Iqbal Noor Ali "is Chief Executive Officer of Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. (AKF USA), a private, non-denominational, not-for-profit international organization committed to alleviating poverty and promoting sustainable and equitable development in Africa and Asia. AKF USA is an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network, a group of private international, non-denominational agencies working to improve living conditions and opportunities for people in specific regions of the developing world in fields ranging from health and education to architecture, rural development and the promotion of private sector enterprise. Active in the international development community in Washington, DC, he has served on the Executive Committee of InterAction and the International Committee of the Council of Foundations. He currently serves on the Membership Committee of the Independent Sector. Prior to his current position, Mr. Noor Ali worked with the Aga Khan Development Network's Industrial Promotion Services, beginning in 1979. He was born in Karachi, Pakistan, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from St. Patrick's College and pursued an MBA degree. He continued his studies in business and finance after moving to Canada in 1969, and worked ten years in public accounting and private industry." [1]
