International Anti-Corruption Academy
"The International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) is an international organization as of 8 March 2011. A joint initiative by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the Republic of Austria, the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) and other stakeholders, IACA is a pioneering institution that aims to overcome current shortcomings in knowledge and practice in the field of anti-corruption. "During its first session on 19 December 2011, the Provisional Commission elected Ambassador Eugenio M. Curia of Argentina (GRULAC) as its President for a one-year term. The following Vice-Presidents were elected, representing the remaining regional groups:
- Prof. Pakdee Pothisiri, Thailand (Asian Group, one year)
- Ms. Anca Jurma, Romania (EEG, 6 months)
- Ms. Sofia A. Zakharova, Russian Federation (EEG, 6 months)
- Ambassador Helmut Bock, Austria (WEOG, 6 months)
- Mr. Itai Apter, Israel (WEOG, 6 months)
- Ambassador Ukur Kanacho Yatani, Kenya (African Group, 12 months)
"During its first session, the Provisional Commission also appointed the Chair of the International Transition Team, Mr. Martin Kreutner, as the Executive Secretary of the Provisional Commission." [2]
