Institute of Democracy and Cooperation
"The Institute of Democracy and Cooperation is a think-tank based in Paris. It has had consultative status with ECOSOC (the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations) since 2015. It organises regular conferences and discussions on matters of contemporary interest and on the historical and cultural context in which they occur. The subjects it tackles include the following: the role of history in contemporary politics; the relationship between the sovereignty of states and human rights; East-West relations; the role of NGOs and civil society in democracies. IDC has a particular interest too in the great moments of history, especially the great wars of the 19th and 20th centuries." [1]
