Imogen Mkhize

Imogen Mkhize was appointed to the Board of Sasol "with effect from 1 January 2005. Ms Mkhize holds a BSc. Information Systems from Rhodes University and an MBA from Harvard. She is currently the CEO of the 18th World Petroleum Congress, an international Oil & Gas event to be hosted by South Africa in September 2005. Previously, she was the Executive Chairman of the Zitek Group, a management and development consultancy she founded in 2000. Ms Mkhize has extensive leadership and management experience in both the corporate and non-profit sectors. Her employment history includes Anglo American, Andersen Consulting, Nedcor and the Association of Black Accountants. Prior to her entrepreneurial venture into Zitek, she was the Managing Director of Lucent Technologies South Africa. In 2001, the World Economic Forum recognised Ms Mkhize as a Global Leader for Tomorrow (GLT), thus joining a group of highly accomplished GLTs around the world.
