"lan Vann was employed by BP from 1976, and directed and led BP's global exploration efforts from 1996 until his retirement in January 2007. He was appointed to the executive leadership team of the Exploration & Production Division of BP in 2001, initially as Group Vice President, Technology and later as Group Vice President, Exploration and Business Development. Ian was appointed to the Board of Serica in 2007."
