Biographical Information

"Ian’s brief at the BPF covers a wide range of housing, development, sustainability and landlord and tenant issues. He has just been appointed to sit on the Government’s Review of Investment in Housing, led by Sir Adrian Montague and drives the BPF’s work promoting investment in housing. In the commercial sector, Ian’s work includes the 2007 Lease Code, and industry contribution to the Review of our High Streets, by Mary Portas. Ian is Vice Chair of the National Approved Lettings Scheme (NALS), Chairs the Audit Panel that oversees private sector student accommodation inspections and sits on the London Mayor’s Housing Forum. Ian joined the BPF from the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), where he was Head of Policy and Chief Economist, representing the interests of Britain’s small business community. Ian started his working life in the small business section of what was then Midland Bank, and holds professional qualifications in banking and market research. " [1]
