Houston Natural Gas was acquired by InterNorth Inc. in 1985. Following the transaction, HNG executives assumed top posts at InterNorth, changing name to Enron Corporation. Enron headquarters moved from former InterNorth headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska to former HNG headquarters in Houston, Texas.
