Biographical Information

"Holly Welch Stubbing leads Foundation For The Carolinas client services and scholarships team, which includes oversight of an over $10 million annual competitive grantmaking portfolio consisting of corporate and family foundations, scholarship funds and corporate disaster relief funds. As Senior Vice President - Client Services, Holly serves as a lead relationship manager for the Foundation’s largest corporate, nonprofit and family relationships. She also supervises the Foundation’s efforts related to public policy, compliance and advocacy.

"Holly is a member of the North Carolina and Tennessee Bar Associations and currently serves on the Legislative and Public Policy Committee and the Legal & Regulatory Action Committee of the Council on Foundations, as well as the Government Relations Committee for the Southeastern Council on Foundations and the Public Policy Committee of the North Carolina Network for Grantmakers. She serves on the John M. and James L. Knight Foundation Charlotte Advisory Board and the Boards of Directors of ecoAmerica and The Philanthropic Collaborative. Her experiences include grant making strategy, marketing and fundraising, legislative affairs and advocacy, governance and fiduciary matters. Prior to joining Foundation For The Carolinas in 1998, Holly worked as a Planned Giving Officer for the East Tennessee Foundation in her hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee. Holly holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wake Forest University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law."[1]
