Biographical Information
"Having spent over 35 years in the civil service, Hilary’s last position was Head of the Northern Ireland Office, which she left in December 2011. Previous posts have included Political Director General leading the team negotiating the completion of devolution in Northern Ireland, Director of Corporate Strategy for the Treasury Solicitor's Department, Director of Community Policy in the Home Office, Principal Private Secretary to the Home Secretary and, from 1997-1999, Deputy Director leading and implementing major change to the youth justice system. She served as a Trustee for Rainer (now Catch 22), a national voluntary organisation supporting young people, from 2003 to 2009." [1]
